Success Story Of A Patient Who Lost His Ability To Walk

Success Story Of A Patient Who Lost His Ability To Walk

A new success story from the Neurosurgery and Spine Department at the Saudi German Hospital, Hail.

A 47-year-old patient, who was complaining of back pain and weakness in the legs. His symptoms began four months ago, and was diagnosed in other hospitals with neuritis and herniated disc, but he did not improve with treatment; instead, the condition got worse and lost the ability to walk, and started moving around only via wheelchair.

The patient went to see Dr. Mohammed Khalid Al-Badawi, Head of the Neurosurgery and Spine Department at the Saudi German Hospital, Hail.

And after careful examination and the necessary radiology, it was found that there was a tumor pressing on the spinal cord and the thoracic vertebrae, so the doctor decided to perform urgent surgery to remove the tumor.

The doctor performed a very accurate microscopic surgery through which the tumor was completely removed, and thanks to God, the operation was a great success and the patient regained the ability to move and walk normally after the operation.

It is also worth mentioning that the Saudi German Hospital, Hail Branch, is keen to provide the latest technologies used in microscopic microsurgery to facilitate and provide the best medical service for our patients.
