American Hospital Dubai Launches Telehealth Service To Support The Community During COVID-19

American Hospital Dubai, part of Mohamed & Obaid Al Mulla Group, one of the leading pioneers of private healthcare in the Middle East, has launched next generation telemedicine to provide 24/7 medical consultations and treatment to the community across. The launch of the service is in line with the government instructions to keep social distancing and moving restrictions across the country to combat COVID-19.

The telehealth service allows patients to seek medical consultations in real time through computers, smartphones or tablets for consultations via video/voice calls. To register themselves for the service and to begin consultation, a patient should first book an appointment by contacting the call center or visiting the website, with the added option of requesting specific physicians. The service will cover all specialties.

Sherif Beshara, chief Executive of Mohamed & Obaid Al Mulla Group of Companies said: “Distinguished for the highest standards of clinical excellence, American Hospital Dubai always aims to support the community with the very best in terms of patient-centric care.  With the introduction of telemedicine, we are making strategic investments in technology adoption to ensure that the patients continue to be able to access our medical experts despite the COVID-19 outbreak restricting travel. “

The services are available round the clock for registered patients and covered by insurance without pre-approvals. Doctors will also be able to prescribe medication which will be delivered from the American Hospital Dubai through Tele-Pharmacy service to the patients’ home.
